Oleg Menshikov together with Diana created the unique jewellery collection Tverskaya, 5 dedicated to the 90th Anniversary of the Maria Yermolova Theatre.

Brooches and rings are presented in this collection. Jewellery is made of 925 silver, covered with 24 ct gold-plating, black and white rhodium and encrusted with quartz. The main accent of the jewellery are inserts covered with stoving and cold enamel.

The inspiration behind the collection was the theatre itself: stage, auditorium, dressing rooms, the New Stage design, and even concession stand. The keynote idea of the collection was the famous shade picture of Maria Yermolova painted by Serov. Its light pattern appears on the dark-red velvet curtain before every performance. Brooches and rings makes play with the theatre stuff: brooch as order, fancy brooch as eye-glass, massive rings and joky brooch with a glass of champagne and caviar sandwich. The “navigation” brooch reminds of an artists’ make-up table, the mirror in the middle is framed by the plates that help the guests how to orientate in the theatre. “Menshikov Ave” is a plate that hangs before the art director’s office.

Oleg Menshikov:

I wanted to create some unforgettable valuable gift for artists and theatre employees in this anniversary season. What can be more valuable that jewellery. What is more, nobody did anything similar before. We looked at different Russian jewelers for a long time and we found what we were looking for in Diana’s collections. We worked on drafts together, and the implementation totally felt upon the Dzhanelli Jewellery House studios. Long-standing friendly relationship connects us with the company Bosco di Ciliegi so there was no question where to sell our collection.

Diana Dzhanelli:

I feel pleased and flattered that Oleg Yevgenyevich considered me with this unusual offer. There are lots and lots of various collaborations in the fashion industry but I’ve been one of the first who was into luck to work with the theatre and create a unique collection dedicated to its 90th anniversary. This is a unique experience. The theatre is an inspiration with no limit. For now we have fulfilled some of our ideas only, and I hope to continue our collaboration.
